Jill and Harry Perry in Russia 2009

The Perrys have kindly provided us with the following links to a full, daily and illustrated account of their 6,900 mile (11,050 km) motorhome journey to, through and back from Russia in August and September 2009.

Entering Russia from Finland and exiting into the Ukraine and Moldova, their 66-page travel log describes the journey in full detail, as well their preparations - personal, vehicular and bureaucratic. Not least, they enjoyed the reliability of their Fiat-based Hymer B564, acquired in January 2006.

This is an excellent read for travellers and would-be travellers, expecially those planning or only dreaming of stepping across the 'normal' borders of Europe.
