The End of an Era

Don and Maureen Say Goodbye to their Timberland Freedom 11 Motorhome

Barry and Margaret Williamson
June 2013

Towards the end of May 2013, Don and Maureen circulated friends with the following message:

"We have sold the Timberland and given up motorhome touring. In the last 3
years we used it mainly to commute  to and from Turkey where we spent the
winter in our rented cottage near Fethiye. We still intend to winter in
Turkey but will fly out and have the full 6 months there. We have slowed
down a lot in the last couple of years as age takes its toll.

We have some marvellous memories of our trips  over the last forty years. We
still have plans to travel but at a slower pace. We have met some very
interesting people while travelling and made good friends.

Best wishes for the future

Don & Maureen"

We wish Don and Maureen the very best in their new life, post-motorhoming. The years roll along until they eventually overtake the plans and ambitions of even the most intrepid of travellers.

Don will continue to respond to comments and queries, particularly on Turkey. Contact him at:
