Crossing through the Åland Islands from Sweden into Finland, Paul and Sheila visit Helsinki before making a grand sweep throughout the whole of that amazing country. The nineteen-week journey took them north up the eastern borderlands with Russia, across the far northern regions of Norway and then south along the coast of the Gulf of Bothnia. The fauna and flora of Finland are fully described in a series of separate illustrated articles and there is a detailed list and grading of the campsites they used.
