A Stranger at the Wedding

The following story was passed to us by Margaret's South African penfriend, Daphne Behr, who heard it on local radio and believes it to be true.

A young couple were getting married in East London (Cape Province). As they walked up the red carpet to stand in front of the Minister, an ostrich came in and stood behind them. When they turned round they saw the big bird, which sat down, opened her wings, laid an egg and walked out. The newly-weds took the egg with them on honeymoon to Oudtshoorn.
