5 Jul New Schwalbe Marathon Extreme Tyres: Schwalbe Marathon XR Touring Tyres being no longer available, we replaced them with the new Schwalbe Marathon Extremes from Paul Hewitt in Leyland, Lancashire. So far, we are very happy with them: hard to fit, they are lighter and more responsive on road as well as safe and sure off the road with no hint of a puncture!

1 Jun From Greece to Tunisia: We leave the Greek Peloponnese via a ferry from Patras to Brindisi and a ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Sicily, aiming for a ferry from Trapani to Tunis. En route, we take the bicycles for a few days riding in Malta via the high speed catamaran to Valletta from Pozzallo in south-eastern Sicily.
